Marriage is a life sentence, without the chance of parole. Instead of evoking warm feelings, this statement stirs panic in the heart of most. Why, when marriage is viewed as a lifelong covenant, with no escape hatch, do we get sweaty palms and heart palpitations?
The Bible is clear that marriage is a covenant. In our culture, marriage has become little more than an upgraded social contract between two people—not a holy covenant between a man and a woman and their God for a lifetime.Greater than 50% of marriages are ending in divorce, proof that many people enter marriage with a temporary mindset.
We believe Marriage is intended to last "till death do us part".
